Student Background/Interests
I am a first year student in the DO/PhD program for Neuroscience and Osteopathic medicine.
I am a graduate of Boise State University (GO BRONCOS!!) where I received a B.S. in Biology with Cellular/Molecular emphasis and minors in Chemistry and Philosophy. I participated in several research projects during my undergraduate education. My most recent project was to investigate the role of Oncostatin M, a cytokine, in tumor progression and metastasis in several types of cancer. For my PhD I am working with Dr. John Goudreau and Dr. Keith Lookingland. The lab is involved in several projects all related to Parkinson's syndrome.
I am originally from Smithfield, UT. I have a beautiful wife of four years, Jensie, and a wonderful two-year-old daughter, Lucie. We came to Michigan State University for the fantastic academic programs and opportunities, Big Ten sports, and adventure.
