Student Background/Interests

I graduated with a B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Western State College in Gunnison, CO.  As an undergraduate, I worked on a research project studying the vomeronasal system and predatory search behavior in rattlesnakes.  The project was fascinating definitely kept me on my toes.

My current research interests include the etiology of neurodegeneration and its effects on development and behavior.  This summer I will be rotating in Dr. Lookingland's lab where I will study dopamine neurons in the spinal cord and their relationship to Restless Leg Syndrome.
