FAQ : Financial Support : Recommendation Form : MSU Graduate Student Application

Students are supported during the two years of study. Support is obtained from research grants, departmental or college assistantships, or fellowships and grants from industry or other private sources. The amount of support is similar regardless of the source. The stipend for students entering in 2007 is approximately $21,000. In addition to the stipend, assistantships and fellowships include a full tuition credit waiver and health care benefits. All students in good standing are supported throughout their plan of study. Student loans are available to supplement these stipends, if needed.
